Sokollab are a data controller which means we make decisions about how and why we will use information about you, often called your personal data.

The types of personal data we collect about you.

We may collect use store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you. We’ve grouped them as follows to help you understand.

Identity data includes your first, middle, and surname; your username or other identifier; and your title.

Contact data includes postal and billing addresses; delivery addresses; email addresses; and telephone numbers.

Financial data includes bank account and payment card details.

Transaction data includes detailed about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased or accessed from us.

Technical data includes internet (IP) address; your login data; browser type and version; time zone and location data; browser plugin types and versions; operating system and platform; and other information about the devices you use to access our website and services (this may include the make model and operating system).

Profile data includes your username and password; purchases and orders made by you; feedback and survey responses.

Usage data includes information about how you use our website, promotions, offers, products and services and about when you click on one of our adverts.

Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We do not collect special categories of personal data about you (information about your health, sexuality/sex life, religion or other philosophical beliefs, race or ethnicity, political opinions, trade union membership, genetics and biometrics for identification purposes).

We do not collect information about criminal offences and convictions.

How and why we collect and use your personal data

We collect personal data about our customers and other people who interact with our company and are interested in what we do.

Who we share your personal data with

To deliver our services it might be necessary for us to share some of the information we’ve explained above with other parts of our business to deliver those services or with partner organisations. We’ve noted these in the first column of the table above.

Any data we share is processed on our strict instructions and we do not allow our third party service providers to use your data for their own purposes, we check that they can and do comply with data protection legislation and make sure they treat your data with respect and keep it safe and secure at all times.

How long we will keep your personal data and where in the world it’s held

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six yearsafter they cease being customers for tax purposes.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statisticalpurposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

We store or transfer some or all of your personal data in countries that are not part of the EEA. These are known as “third countries” and may not have data protection laws that are as strong as those in the UK and/or the EEA. Because of this we take additional steps to ensure that your personal data is treated just as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under the Data Protection Legislation as follows:

We use specific contracts with external third parties that are approved by the European Commission for the transfer of personal data to third countries. These contracts require the same levels of personal data protection that would apply under the UK Data Protection Legislation.

Profiling

We use profiling to help suggest and recommend products and services you may like or be interested in and to determine what marketing information you receive from us. For example, if you have not shopped with us for a while, you may receive different marketing messages from someone who purchases from us regularly. Complaints

We would appreciate the opportunity to try to resolve your concerns first so would ask that you contact us using the details at the top of this notice in the first instance.

Your rights and choices around your personal data

Under certain circumstances you have rights under data protection law in relation to the use of your personal data.
