SOKOLLAB Summer Placement Programme 2025
SOKOLLAB is the leading UK retailer for Korean pop music. We operate a Flagship retail store in London, regular events and Pop-ups plus a rapidly growing e-commerce platform.

What is it?
This programme is designed for candidates who have a real passion for Korean music. We aim to provide hands-on experience to a dynamic business for students considering a career in retail.

Who is it for?
This programme is applicable to candidates who are 16 years old or over at the time of the placement and is aimed at those without any prior work experience. The age restriction is for insurance purposes. There will be two spaces available per placement date over the summer months, each lasting for two consecutive weeks.
When is it?
There are two programme dates available which are either August 4th to August 17th or August 18th to August 31st. Both dates will involve working 5 days out of 7, Mondays to Sundays. Shifts will be between the times of 11am-6.30pm.
Is this programme the right fit for you?
Do you have a high interest in K-Pop and retail? Do you wish to get an experience of a career in a start-up company? Are you curious as to how SOKOLLAB raises product and brand awareness through social media?
No previous retail experience is required.
What will the Programme involve?
The two-week programmes will consist of both online meetings and hands-on in-store experience, covering key aspects of running an independent retail business.
This programme is un-paid; however, the Summer placement candidate will be given a travel expense allowance.
At the end of the placement, we will also be able to provide references for you.
You will need to be able to make your own way to our London store located at 14 Rathbone Place W1T 1HT.
For some of the activities you will need to be able to access online meetings. If there are any issues with this, it can be discussed prior to commencement of the work experience.
