[EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW] BLITZERS On Their ‘Unforgettable’ Britain’s Got Talent Experience
BLITZERS, a K-POP boyband under WUZO Entertainment, began their journey as a group four years ago. Earlier this year, their surprise appearance on Britain’s Got Talent generated buzz among K-POP fans across the globe. As the first K-POP act to compete on the show, they made history with their bold and groundbreaking move to share their music with a wider audience, demonstrating their fiery passion for international success. And what better place to do it than the UK—the home of legendary boybands?
The six talented members— Jinhwa, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan, and Wooju—captivated both K-POP and non-K-POP fans, charming the hearts of the British public and amassing over a million views with each one of their electrifying performances. Following their appearance on Britain Got Talent and the release of their fourth EP ‘LUNCH-BOX’, SOKOLLAB caught up with BLITZERS for an exclusive look into their BGT experience, their impressions of London, and their dream artist collaborations.
SOKOLLAB: Hello, BLITZERS! Could you please introduce yourselves to our readers?

SOKOLLAB: Congratulations on being the first K-POP group to appear on Britain’s Got Talent! What does participating in Britain's Got Talent mean to you as a group?
Jinhwa: If our activities in Korea felt like having our seat belts fastened, being on BGT was like our first experience challenging ourselves without one.
Juhan: It was an incredibly honourable moment for us, and being on BGT was a rare opportunity, which made it even more meaningful.
Sya: It was a new challenge and opportunity, and it became such an unforgettable experience.
Chris: It was a great experience and opportunity! It was a lot of fun, and we learned so much.
Lutan: It was an honour to share the stage with experts in their respective fields, and we gained a lot from it.
Wooju: It was a remarkable experience that we’ll always cherish when we look back on our lives.
SOKOLLAB: Your performances on Britain’s Got Talent became some of the most viewed performances of this year’s show. Could you share the inspiration behind your choice of songs for each performances?
Sya: For the preliminary stage, the production team recommended Shawn Mendes' 'There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back' because it could elicit a great response from the audience.
Juhan: We chose WAR*HALL's 'Bring That Fire' for the semi-finals because we wanted to capture the hearts of the audience and judges with a powerful performance that would leave a strong impression.
Chris: We decided on those songs because we thought it would show our colours well through the lyrics and performance, and we could convey our ambitions through the message in the lyrics.

SOKOLLAB: Can you share any behind-the-scenes moments you experienced while preparing for your Britain's Got Talent performances?
Lutan: The time between the song selection and practising was very tight, so I remember staying up all night and sleeping in the practice room with the members to prepare.
Wooju: After arriving in the UK, we rented a practice room for the rehearsals!

SOKOLLAB: Which Britain’s Got Talent acts were your personal favourites on this year's show?
Juhan: Personally, on the day of the semi-finals, there was a celebration stage where they performed a musical from Frozen, and it was very impressive since it was my first time seeing a musical.
Wooju: I liked BLITZERS semi-final performance the most this year!
SOKOLLAB: What were your initial impressions of London before visiting, and how have they changed since you've been here?
Jinhwa: I heard it would rain a lot, so I worried and thought, “What if it rains during the music video shoot?” But the weather was so clear and nice that my impression of the weather changed a lot.
Chris: Before visiting, I thought it would be very cool and beautiful, and it lived up to my expectations. The buildings looked like something out of a movie - so cool and beautiful!
SOKOLLAB: Is there a particular song you associate with your Britain's Got Talent experience or your visit to the UK? Could you share that with us?
Jinhwa: The song 'Something Just Like This' by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay comes to mind, as I had come up with it as an idea for a competition song.
Sya: The songs we performed on stage are really special. We practised a lot, and they are unforgettable songs.
Lutan: I recommend Shawn Mendes' 'There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back' because we performed it during the auditions and enjoyed listening to it.
SOKOLLAB: Have you had the chance to try any interesting British food while you were here? What were your favourites?
Wooju: The English breakfast we had in the UK was the most hearty and delicious, and it left a strong impression. The bread was also really good.
Lutan: Although other foods were delicious, we frequently visited a restaurant called Wagamama because it was tasty, so I recommend it!
SOKOLLAB: For new fans joining your fandom after seeing you on Britain's Got Talent, which song from your discography would you recommend they start with?
Jinhwa: Since we showed our powerful image on Britain’s Got Talent, listening to a song like ‘Macarena’ would help you easily get into our music.
Sya: If you listen to ‘Macarena’, followed by ‘Superpower’, you'll get a good sense of what kind of artist BLITZERS is.
SOKOLLAB: One of your dreams was to perform a concert at Wembley Arena. If you could choose any British musician to collaborate with you on that iconic stage, who would it be?
Juhan: I would love to collaborate with Ed Sheeran! It would be an honour to work with him.
Chris: Among British artists, I often listen to Central Cee's songs! If given the opportunity, I'd love to collaborate with him.
SOKOLLAB: What's next for BLITZERS? Can you give your European fans any spoilers about what they can expect from the group this year?
Jinhwa: Our goal is always to meet BLITZERS fans that we haven't met yet. Maybe we'll go to new places this year to meet them?
Juhan: We have been on a European tour and made great memories! If not this year, we hope to return to Europe soon to meet our fans again.
Lutan: Our BGT appearance and LUNCH-BOX comeback activities have gained us more recognition, so we would like to perform on stages in various places, including Europe!
